Poll after poll indicate the approval rating of Congress runs around 11%, but the electorate has returned incumbents to Congress 90% of the time for the last forty years. The electorate apparently believes, “I hate Congress, but love my Congressman.” Whether you express your schizophrenia by mail, pulling a lever or punching a paper, Washington D.C. will not change unless the electorate changes its voting behavior. My advice to those in need of behavioral therapy, Don’t Vote, You’ll Feel Better.
