Airline pilots, park rangers, judges, FBI agents and air traffic controllers.
What do the above have in common? They are all jobs with mandatory retirement ages.
Okay, clearly they all require sharp mental and in some cases physical skills. There are even lives at stake in some cases.
So if the criteria is mental sharpness and risking lives and rather than test individuals, we apply an arbitrary age criteria, WHY THE HELL ISN’T THERE A MANDATORY RETIREMENT AGE FOR POLITICIANS?
Looking at our current politicians it would appear mental sharpness is unrelated to age; they can be duds at any age which is demonstrated on a daily basis.
At the same time, who has the potential for screwing up even losing more lives than our politicians?

I have been saying this for years. When the one guy in a wheel chair and was over 90 passed away while still serving in Congress, he had an honorary seat but he won an election?????
I want an explanation. Mandatory retirement is needed there.
