Can’t afford what?

This is true, pinky swear.

A friend of mine who happens to be a doctor posted on her Facebook page about health care costs, co-pays and premiums, etc. As may be expected her followers, mostly her patients, chimed in with their stories of outrage, unaffordability, high co-pays and premiums, etc.

Not surprisingly I replied to too many, challenging their statements. It didn’t end well, but at least we revealed a few facts.

A short time later my friend the doctor posted again. This time asking if anyone was planning to cancel a trip or cruise because of the virus. The friends responded. Seems nearly everyone was heading to Europe or on a cruise during the next several months.

The would be world travelers were virtually the same group who complained about their healthcare Co-pays and premiums.

If you don’t get the irony, maybe you don’t get health care spending. 😷
