I’d like to start by saying what the heck is wrong with these people, but that’s too simplistic. The real question is do they realize their freedom to act like asses exists because of these imperfect people viewed through centuries of hindsight?
Let’s rename all Carnegie libraries and Carnegie Hall, he abused labor. Remove all Kennedy names, he was an adulterer. Grant was an alcoholic. Hamilton was an adulterer. And then of course there is Clinton.
Lincolns’s policies toward native Americans was no different than other presidents of the century and reflected the society of the times as despicable as it was. The Homestead Act and the Pacific Railway Act of 1862 helped precipitate the construction of the transcontinental railroad even while taking land from native Americans.
Maybe we’d be better off not connected to California. 😎
If these liberal do-gooders want to wipeout flawed legacies they will have to destroy all our history books.

San Francisco will rename 44 schools, including campuses named after former presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln and Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
The near-unanimous Monday vote by the San Francisco Board of Education, with only one dissenter, comes after years of debate — and some scorn — over the reckoning of historical figures and their contentious, flawed legacies.
“It’s a message to our families, our students and our community,” board member Mark Sanchez said in the meeting, per the San Francisco Chronicle. “It’s not just symbolic.”
The new namesakes for the schools must adhere to a new set of guidelines, including that individuals honored by a renaming are not slave owners or abetted in slavery or genocide, attached to human rights abuses, or are “known racists and/or white supremacists.”
Washington and Jefferson, for instance, were slaveowners, while former San Francisco mayor Feinstein was listed after reportedly reinstating Confederate flags by City Hall in the ’80s. Lincoln, widely revered for his issuing of the Emancipation Proclamation, was chosen based on “his treatment of First Nation peoples,” first-grader Jeremiah Jeffries told the Chronicle in a widely circulated December quote.

I believe the liberals are removing our history, so that in the future we will not have anyone to compare our “NEW” leaders to, and the “NEW leaders will do much worse things than any of our past leaders. So, with the rumors that MLK cheated on his wife, do we now change all the street signs, that have MLK on them, I do not think so, but it could be coming. What a tragedy this political correctness has become.

Oh, I am well aware of what Fascism was to Hitler just as I am well aware of what America is witnessing today. You can’t paint over it just because you will find yourself on the wrong side of history.

It surely was not me. I have been watching the propaganda machine of government and media since 10th grade, in 1971. Governments swing on a pendulum from freedom for its citizens to more and more control, until citizens rise up and move (or remove) the government to be less restrictive and then swing back towards less control. Our government has been moving to the left for the last 100 + years, wanting to control more and more of our daily lives. No matter what form of government you call it, what good does it do the average citizen, if the government controls too much of your life and slowly removes freedoms that are supposed to be guaranteed by the Constitution, that formed the government. If you look at the USSR Constitution, it mirrors the US Constitution in many ways, but we know the citizens of each country did not have the same freedoms. I just hope the US does not look more like the old USSR in 2060 and beyond.
You may want to stop assuming things are one way and that someone is or is not on the wrong side of history. Or that knowledge is new or old or anything but knowledge. The article I referenced, just happened to be the first one that came up on the computer.
If you have not read the text or watched the video on youtube – “ALL WARS ARE BANKERS WARS” I highly recommend it. The Banksters around the world are in control of more than most people give them credit.

Meanwhile in the NFL…. The players put stickers on their helmets of people who shoot at police and the players still practice domestics abuse. But they are our heroes?
You can’t judge the past from the lenses of today. But if you erase the past, you are guaranteed to repeat the past since you no longer have any reference to base your future actions and judgements.
I could rant on and on how cancel culture is forcing me to become more libertarian, trying to protect our freedoms. But I’ll spare everybody until another day.
What I do know is with all of our Americans flaws, millions of people will risk their lives to get into the United States. Life in the United States and its freedoms are still better than most of the world. There is still more slavery now than anytime in history and it is not in the civilized nations.
These people need to walk through national cemeteries until they realize the millions of Americans who have died for them, protecting their right to exercise their freedom of speech. Those same rights allows them to erase history. Rights that they want to take way as hate speech for all those who oppose them.
As a side note, if you erase George Washington from history, would we even have a country?
