Mutually, We, Common, United, Give me your tired, your poor

America is being torn apart. There are forces that see progress in keeping us from being united. Look at Twitter, Facebook and other social media and you see attacks on police, the wealthy, business in general, CEOs and more.

Instead of united, we have groups of all kinds with their own champions and creating their own scapegoats. Affinity groups have their own parades, holidays, awards. Political correctness takes precedence over common sense.

Diversity can be a powerful tool for good. A diverse set of opinions and experience can help solve problems, but not when diversity is focused inward with self-interest a priority over a common united goal.

We are not united in any meaning of the word. Much of this is promoted by politicians who see a strategy based on keeping us divided by race, gender, income, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, even age.

Immigrants came to America to be Americans, to leave the old country behind while keeping their traditions in the family, but putting their new country and its language first. That objective seems to have declined.

We have problems to solve, wrongs to right, fairness to promote, but that will only be accomplished in a united country. History shows us that the more diverse and inner focused a society is the more inability to function it faces. We don’t all have to be alike or believe the same things or look the same, but we will only decline if we continue to pull in different directions.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all

Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!


  1. In the most diverse ways, everday American wage workers have crap shoved down their throats.

    Here are a couple of actions I became aware of today:
    From CNBC Squack Box this AM, screw wage earners,
    From ESPN, screw the fans (especially this fan of 62 years)
    From AEI, screw due process,

    I could go on, but, this should be adequate.


  2. 100% Agree. I can’t believe some people cannot see what is happening. They cannot see history repeating itself. This month alone there have been many podcast of Cuban’s telling their story and that America media, students, and Democrats have Cuba all wrong. Cuba is a communist nightmare.

    Maybe we need to put the Pledge of Allegiance back into the schools that stop reciting it. If students don’t want to support their country, they should leave instead of destroying America. The rest of the worlds wants to come here. They use our flag as a symbol of freedom during protests. They risk dying to get here. I don’t see anybody risk dying to leave.

    Two current events should scare us all no matter what your feelings are. The current administration has openly stated in no uncertain terms, they want to disarm the population. They are also trying to get social media to censor and thus by proxy the main media, everything as misinformation unless it is put out by this administration. This is how every dictatorship has started. The British attempt to take our guns and started the American Revolution. The pandemic saw so many of our rights suspended and the government got away with it. If our rights are God given they how were taken away? Our rights are only what government allows us to have and they are deciding that we are going to have less and less.

    I know that I sound paranoid, but there are a few monuments still standing of the dead who fought to give us our freedom and that I am not just making this up. Do some critical think and your own research. This is so lacking today.
