Medicare Part B premium 2022

Although the Part B Medicare premium was projected to increase $10 to $158.50 CMS now says the standard Part B premium amount in 2022 is $170.10. Most people pay the standard Part B premium amount.

If your modified adjusted gross income as reported on your IRS tax return from 2 years ago is above a certain amount, you’ll pay the standard premium amount and an Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA). IRMAA is an extra charge added to your premium.

That’s a whopping $21.60 increase or a 14.5 increase.

  1. This is going to hurt so many seniors! I know, I know, there are safety nets for low income seniors, but this is hurting the majority of middle income seniors!

“Resident” Biden’s proposal of giving cash of great amount to those who entered the USA illegally and their children were separated from them, so we need to ‘reward’ them. If you break the law such as DUI or drug related laws, your children are separated from you.

    Our government has gone nuts!
