A few more years of COLAs that only chase, never succeed in fully offsetting past inflation (remember, for most, the benefit is taxable income), then couple that stupidity with employment (and FICA and FICA-Med revenue) declines due to the coming recession, and let’s see if we can exhaust the Social Security and Medicare Trust Funds just a few years sooner!
