$35 co-pay for insulin

Effective January 1, 2023 Medicare beneficiaries will pay up to a $35 co-pay for insulin provided their insulin in on the formulary of their Part D prescription plan.

The reality is that many Part D plans already applied $35 or less copay, so check your coverage.

But keep in mind that mandating a maximum co-pay does nothing to control the price of insulin, it merely shifts costs elsewhere.

Could this co-pay cap have anything to do with my Part D plan premium doubling for 2023?
