Not a thing wrong being a liberal, nor being a conservative. This Country has thrived under both ideologies and more important under compromise. We have worked together in time of crisis, we have survived and learned from endless protests for any number of causes and in many cases made necessary changes.
We even survived presidents being murdered and another resigning in disgrace.
But now something is seriously wrong.
Americans have fallen into a trap created by one person. It seems few people are thinking anything through, but rather are motivated by slogans and scapegoating, are convinced about things not true, mix religious views with government and ignore the consequences of what they seek.
Who told you America was not great, who told you government is corrupt, who told you immigrants infected our blood? Who used the word invasion at our borders and who told you the election was rigged and fraudulent?

May be I’m a pessimist. May be I’m a realist.
May be even delusional, but I am not alone. No matter how bad you may think Trump is, I think he’s worse. I get almost physically ill when I hear Trump supporters say he’s doing this for us, or because he loves his country.
He was never supposed to win! Which makes him the biggest loser of all. For that, his reputation will pay for eternity. And his family will pay for life. But his ego wouldn’t let him walk away.

I could not agree with you more. Trump is as disgusting as they get. I have reviled him for about 15 years long before he ran for office. His time in office only made my convictions stronger. I am very worried thatbhe may become the President once again and I believe that will be the end of Democracy in this country because he has no regard for the law and flaunts it at every opportunity. He proved that on Jan 6 and yet there are so many ignorant people who buy his BS.

It encourages me to see voices of reason replying to these posts by Mr Quinn that are equally united against the destruction of our country’s values by Trump and the MAGA movement. I still hold hope that this silent majority will show up in the polls and finally end this madness with Trump’s fourth straight electoral defeat.

Sort of like his 1st four years–you know lower taxes–lower gas prices–your local CVS not being constantly looted–an attempt to stop the border from being overrun–no wars with U.S. involvement–knowing what a female is–low inflation–his children not being a total embarrassment and actually producing something for their pay–a president with some energy, maybe too much.
hey, it could be worse just ask the 60% or so of our fellow citizens who think the old man who shakes hands with a ghost–can’t give a coherent speech–refuses to have press conferences is a loser.
I will agree we have a pretty lean choice for the 1st time in my memory.

Funny, I remember deploying to Afghanistan and to Africa during Trump’s administration, as well as hundreds of airstrikes that the military carried out. That whole “no wars” thing is a pretty silly attempt to rewrite history. You should focus on more credible things that he did, like SALT repeal and getting NATO to pay their fair share. And praising him for nepotism is something k have never even seen from the Fox News crowd. Are you trying to get some sort of campaign job?

And you attribute all that to him as President? Then you have no idea what a president, any president can control or not. Nor does it appear you understand the global implications increasingly affecting our lives. Lower taxes and $8 trillion more in debt. Is that a good tradeoff? Taxes must go up no matter who is president.

Really–taxes need to go up–what will higher taxes do but allow them to spend more money and they will fund more programs needing more deficit spending. Cut spending unless you think folks are addicted to government programs and then it is a never ending cycle. So Biden will run on raising taxes?? but then for folks earning more than $400,000–he might have to raise that as the Democrats are now the party of the wealthy.
“Pay your fair share my son”? What a hoot Biden Jr. is on trial for tax evasion while we get a lecture on paying our fair share. Of course these two seldom speak or interact so we can’t infer anything about Dad from the son.
