Political pandering for votes

It quite impressive how all this stuff is coordinated. The play of the day on X, Facebook and Threads from Democratic politicians is raise teacher pay, no logic, no long-term thinking, no worry about where the money comes from, just buy votes.

  1. Nobody, nobody panders for votes better than Sleepy Joe. And the Leftist Media gives him a pass on all of it!

  2. About 30% of students in Chicago can read at “grade level”. And the teachers want a raise? Maybe with more money they could raise that number to 32%.

    1. Reading and math proficiency is poor all over. My old high school where i got a good education is dismal now. However, i blame that on the families as much as teachers, maybe more in many cases

      1. It’s hard to be in the classroom when when you spend all that time in City Hall setting policy. They are wannabe politicans.

  3. Well we all know the Dems are in bed with the teacher’s unions–they will probably have the largest contingent at the convention–they will knock on the doors and stuff the envelopes–they are rewarded state by state and by the Education Department with policies that deny vouchers to poor black and Hispanic kids–competition they hate–but when the private and parochial schools show better results it makes the unions even angrier–another group the Democrats cover for in exchange for money and in-kind services.

Of course one of the funniest and saddest moments was the revelation that the Chicago union leader sent her kids to private/parochial schools. Sort of like the migrants being sent to the Vineyard and sanctuary cities by the Republican governors,

As my father would say: “those lefties have a plan for you and themselves–the plan for you does not include them and the plan for them does not include you.”
