Fantasy land of taxing – only others

The tax fairness for many people is most incredible- and naive and scary too.

So, we are so divided some people are willing to consider confiscating what others have accumulated through investing and creating industries, companies, etc.

Think of the logic of creating more ongoing liabilities based on wealth that taken once can decline in the future? Imagine expecting 400 or so Americans to pay for millions of others.

Imagine simply ignoring our current deficit and accumulated debt.

What are people thinking?

  1. don’t tax you don’t tax me, tax that guy behind the tree. So long as we allow Congress to buy votes, nothing will change. As they say in response to how did you go bankrupt: “Sliwly, then suddenly”

  2. Hey… those are all good initiatives to fund and I’m sure there are plenty others just screaming to be funded!

    • Expand free school lunch
    • Expand healthcare
    • Free college for 5 million
    • Hire 4 million nurses
    • Hire 5 million teachers
    • Paid maternity leave

How about adding substantial raises for our armed forces and maybe free support for our struggling new immigrants (so deserving) and maybe subsidies for struggling seniors and even subsidies for struggling middle class folks!

All coming soon if you elect more of the woke politicians ( who think deficits don’t count!). I can hardly wait!

    1. There is little chance of cuts. Our best hope is not adding new unfunded stuff and raising taxes, but people need to understand the reasons and we are far from that state.

      1. Washington is far from that state(no new spending) and they will have no qualms about raising taxes. The deficits will roll on till they can’t go any farther.

      2. here is the funny part–the crazy ideas presented are from folks like Harris–crazy Bernie and Pocahontas–and folks on this site will vote for them via Harris–implementation soon? NO! but as time goes by slowly but slowly the crazies will want money to fund the ideas presented.

I wonder how they know the tax on billionaire wealth will raise $500 billion? if you are worth billions you probably are pretty bright so they think these folks won’t find ways to avoid the taxes–

I want to know how they will tax brother Quinn’s Picasso in his fancy new digs–maybe some of the IRS agents hired by the demented one will be door knocking–didn’t Waltz have a state snitch line during covid? I guess a national snitch line might be appropriate to these folks.

  3. As a small potatoes guy, I feel the tax pain every April. There is nothing new about the tax fairness angle, it is pumped up continuously by Warren, Sanders and Reich as well as Harris and Walz. I say if they try to put it in play, they will find out the definition of oligarchy pretty quick.

The end result of this wish for more tax dollars will fall down on me and the rest of the small potatoes people. By the way, are there 4 million nurses looking for jobs or 5 million teachers? I don’t think so.
