The premium and deductible for Medicare Part B have not been finalized for 2025, but here is what is projected.

We can’t control what others do and we can’t stop misfortune from striking. But we can control our own actions. Those who are financially prudent will most likely enjoy success, even if events don’t always go their way.

Might as well say it, probably most people are not aware, and may object. I take my pension for granted, and don’t normally check the details. Last time I noticed, part B was just over $100/month. I had no idea it had gotten so high.CalPERS, at least for my classification*, not only pays for Medicare for myself and my wife, they also reimburse me monthly for the part B deducted from Social Security. My direct deposits monthly are not itemized, so, out of sight, out of mind, until end of year tax forms.
My wife, of all people, believes it is unfair that part B is deducted from her SS. And reimbursed to me via my pension. I think it’s ironic and logical.
I think, but not sure, it’s universal.
