Is this an actual reflection of any significant percentage of the population?🥲

Let’s hope not, it’s ignorant and wrong. But sadly the inability to plan for retirement is rampant.

Maybe it’s just saying too many young people are stupid and shortsighted.

What will you invest in to live comfortably in retirement?

A scam, 30% hidden fees, bogus?

  1. Anyone, and I mean anyone including so called news sites, can post their opinion on the internet and present their opinion as fact!

But: A big, really big caveat!, is that everyone has a motivation and agenda to post. And it’s not apparent what their motivation and agenda is!

    So reader beware!!!!!!

  2. but, 209 + basis point fees are the reality for some, just as 400% interest rates on payday loans.

your/our reality isn’t all the same as others.

  3. there is no pill for stupid!–don’t ever forget that

with our politicians making all kinds of wild promises why should these surprise you?–we laugh at these folks and all those that follow their advice, but remember there were millions who thought our president (is he still around?) was fit as a fiddle and in private meetings he was doing crossword puzzles–pushups–handstands-and negotiating Middle East cease fires all at the same time. Demented? Of course not–don’t believe your lying eyes!

So, yes there are folks out there falling for all the BS about retirement and retirement plans–but when someone told you that you could keep your doctor and the cost of insurance would be in the range of $2,500 did you believe that?

  5. I don’t know where you go to pick up these threads so I don’t know how rampant it is. The trouble is, and I tell the grandkids all the time, there are people with hidden agendas lurking on the net. Sometimes it is unscrupulous sales people or worse plying their bad intentions.
My own SM surfing is the Bogleheads, Humble Dollar, and of course here. Limited yes but it doesn’t lead me to think the whole world is nuts.
