Thank you to all who read and comment here. It’s just a hobby that keeps an old man busy in retirement.

I urge you to regularly visit HumbleDollar.com where I also post and where there is a lively, informative discussion on all things related to finances, retirement and more.

  1. For the retirees and “pre-retirees” here, as one attendee at my pre-retirement planning seminars noted during the exercise of setting priorities in retirement, words that then became part of the guidance at every future session, “without good health, nothing else much matters.”

Happy New Year. May it bring all here continued good health and prosperity and the love of family, friends and others.

    God Bless America.

Interesting 2024 to be followed by an equally interesting 2025–thanks for putting up with some of us cranky older folks–always look forward to your daily thoughts–seems like you do quite a bit of labor and it is appreciated–best to you, Connie, and family in the new year.

  3. To be or no to — retired. Health, especially stress, has a great part in insuring one’s success in this endeavor. We, collectively, play a good part in seeing that we all get though these challenges. Time changes come and go as do holidays each year. One holiday, signifies a fresh start and give one hope that the New Year will be better, safer and, hopefully, healthier than the past year. Happy New Year everyone.

  4. Happy New Year to you and yours Quinn. It’s been an entertaining 2024.

The Humble Dollar is a worthy site where good information and advice is posted just about daily. However, there are some posters here who take me to school and I appreciate that immensely.
