Here is just a minor example of false posts that many people just accept as fact.
Here’s a quick summary:
- The last salary increase for members of Congress took effect in 2009, raising most members’ salaries to $174,000.
- Since then, Congress has consistently voted to deny itself annual cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) that are otherwise authorized under the Ethics Reform Act of 1989.
- Therefore, in the past 18 years, Congress has approved zero salary increases.
PS Not that it is relevant but Democrats controlled Congress in 2009.
As far as the minimum wage goes only eight states use the federal minimum, the rest are higher. So, it’s not really an issue for Congress, any state can raise the minimum wage.
Congress did attempt to repeal Obamacare and depending on what you count it is around 70 times over several years. It passed in the House, but never the Senate. The important thing is it failed.
Unfortunately, the current administration continues to attempt to undermine it via enrollment rules and creating a hardship for many by repealing the extra premium subsidies making it once again unaffordable to many.
QUINNSCOMMENTARY 
I suspect that most people let these Social Media posts go on by without a second thought. Nobody cares whether Congress gets a pay raise or not.
The minimum wage is from a bygone era. It is no longer relevant and not one in twenty could guess what it is if asked. In Georgia if you want someone to even stop in to inquire about an entry level job you offer more than double the minimum wage law.
The Obamacare repeal issue is not in my wheelhouse. I was on Medicare when it began and had a few relatives in other States who complained about their experiences but I can’t say that it is an issue generally.

yes, and the best and brightest bought the Russia hoax–recent poll shows something like 60% of Democrats still think without the Russians Hillary would have been elected.
the real smart ones told us the Hunter laptop was Russian disinformation.
Some of our lefty friends did not believe millions were crossing borders illegally.
Democratic Senators, members of Congress, and party members tried to convince us the corpse was not demented and there was no reason he should not be a candidate for president—until the obvious to most of the country threatened the chances for the Democratic candidate who suddenly changed.
Some like you believed all the baloney about Obamacare.
Some now believe state run grocery stores won’t harm bodegas.
I could go on and on and both parties and their followers are guilty. Social media gives all a platform and there are consequences.
