There are 850 to 900 billionaires in the United States (some counts say 1,000). Remember, that is out of population of 279,000,000 adults over age 18.
Do you seriously believe these 900 people are harmful to you or our economy or keep you from improving your financial and economic future? I don’t, and although I have researched the subject I have yet to find a persuasive argument billionaires are a net negative to society.
Sure they highlight inequality, and if allowed can exercise political influence and they sure elicit resentment and envy. Don’t blame the billionaires who attempt political influence, blame those who allow that influence.
Hey, Americans elected one as their leader.
The Trump family’s wealth has reportedly grown significantly since Donald Trump’s first presidential campaign began in 2015, with estimates suggesting they have made $3.4 billion to $3.9 billion during his two presidencies (2017–2021 and 2025–present), largely tied to his political prominence.

The naive MAGA crowd likes to crow that he is not accepting the president’s salary.
Foreign governments and state-owned companies spent millions at Trump-owned properties during his presidency, mostly at the Washington, D.C. hotel. These payments became a major ethics controversy, even though the courts never ruled directly on whether they violated the Constitution.
He is still running his businesses, still starting new ventures, still growing his billions while he is your president. Have you ever seen that before?

Al Lindquist:
Didn’t the corpse do pretty much the same–his son sold the influence which, he said, benefited Dad (“the big guy”) and the clan–what was even better for Hunter was he paid no taxes and then was pardoned for it.
yes, it is despicable that Trump sees no boundaries and , basically, is selling influence just like the corpse—does

I know Biden didn’t do things on the Trump scale, but even if he did it would have nothing to do with excusing or justifying Trumps behavior.
Comparing Trump’s behavior to anyone else is meaningless and childish. It’s like a school child complaining as an excuse because they got caught cheating and the person behind them didn’t get caught.

Trump’s behavior is not being excused but folks like you only see something negative in others and when the Biden’s do it nary a word –I know consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds but where was your criticism of the corpse and his son for the sale of influence? I know, criticizing the corpse would be helping Trump, but have some backbone. We could also criticize Lady Bird who made millions thanks to the FCC.
“meaningless and childish”–you lefties are wild–criticism goes one way and pointing out the obvious is childish–the mature view would be they both abused their office for wealth accumulation and a pox on both.
How did the corpse accumulate so much wealth in 50-years sucking at the teat of the government?

Perhaps you can look into the Clinton Foundation?
What you fail to realize is that Trump Hotel actually provides a service that people want and need. There is no comparison to the Biden family’s grift – and the comparison of the two is not childish.
