Trump’s Peacemaker Hype

Donald Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize campaign – which he recently took to the United Nations General Assembly – has followed a familiar pattern: invent or inflate a problem, claim to have solved it, and then demand a reward. The Norwegian Nobel Committee will not be fooled, but the same cannot be said for Trump’s base.
GENEVA – “Everyone says that I should get a Nobel Peace Prize,” US President Donald Trump told the United Nations General Assembly this week, because “I ended seven un-endable wars in seven months.” The boast was classic Trump: extravagantly formulated, unironically delivered, and patently false.
A recent poll indicates that only 22% of US adults believe that Trump deserves the Nobel Prize – a far cry from “everyone” – with 76% of respondents stating that he does not deserve it. Perhaps this reflects the fact that Trump has not ended seven wars. Arguably, he has not even ended one.
Trump takes credit for others’ foreign-policy acumen. After Pakistan-backed terrorists massacred Indian tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir in April, India took decisive and carefully calibrated retaliatory action, launching military strikes on Pakistani terror camps. It was this show of force that made Pakistan back down, but Trump would have the world believe that he single-handedly mediated an end to the conflict using his favorite tool: trade threats. So absurd and relentless were his boasts that Indian officials publicly refuted him.
Trump’s most audacious claim, however, was that he ended the war between Israel and Iran. In reality, Trump gave Israel the green light to strike Iranian positions; deployed American military assets to help Israel shoot down Iran’s missiles and drones; and ordered the bombing of Iranian nuclear sites – severely undermining the global nonproliferation regime in the process. If this is Trump’s idea of peacemaking, one dreads to think what his version of warmongering would look like.
We can’t control what others do and we can’t stop misfortune from striking. But we can control our own actions. Those who are financially prudent will most likely enjoy success, even if events don’t always go their way.
QUINNSCOMMENTARY 
It is embarrassing how Trump brags about ending all these conflicts when he has in fact done no such thing. He has done nothing about Ukraine, he has fanned the fires in Gaza–none of his so-called accomplishments are valid. His lack of humility is typical of a dictator. And yes, how can anyone not see his cognitive decline?

Go Trump. Landmark deal. First in history with this many nations and religious backgrounds. All because of Trump. A fact. Give him credit. He cares about lives.

Upon receiving his medal, probably he is going to call the Ministery of Defence/War, the Ministery of Peace…..

Of course you fell for all the lies about Hunter–illegals–and the health of the corpse–you really thought the Inflation Reduction Act was going to reduce inflation–well, if you don’t know what inflation is I can see how they fooled you.
remember back in 2010 how convinced you were that folks could keep their insurance and the cost would be a reasonable $2,500–Axios called it the lie of the decade–folks like you fell for it hook, line, and sinker.
and let’s not forget the list of Republican Senators that had phone information gathered up by the FBI, or the social media companies bullied into complying about covid coming from a wet market and not a lab–tell it Biden’s way or else.
Tell me, what did Obama do to win his prize? Maybe dropping the millions from the helicopter skid in Iran was his achievement–hell, Trump dropped a few bombs and delivered a message that was far more convincing. Maybe his do nothing approach to Crimea–or the red line in Syria he drew so the Syrians could cross it with no fear of retribution.
TDS is having an effect on you and yours–maybe your vaunted Medicare program has a recommended specialist to work thru your issues with the foul mouthed orange haired guy.

Your ability to reach a logical conclusion is deeply flawed as apparently is any ability to objectively assess the behavior and performance of Mr Trump. Do you enjoy being lied to and manipulated and seeing your Country decline under it all? Perhaps you accept bullying and revenge as normal.

T.Rump followed the usual pattern. He has convinced himself that he is a statesman and somehow a peace-maker. His supporters certainly suffer from TDS. He suffers from a different form of senility than Biden. Will he make it to the end of his term without a mental or physical collapse. Maintained by a cocktail of drugs? Or will his downward spiral accelerate?
