We can’t control what others do and we can’t stop misfortune from striking. But we can control our own actions. Those who are financially prudent will most likely enjoy success, even if events don’t always go their way.

Biden’s White House issued 4,245 acts of clemency while in office — 96% of which were granted between October 2024 and January 2025, according to the Pew Research Center.
Only one was physically signed by Biden – that for Hunter Biden.
The last appears to have been executed by the automated signing device at 10:31 p.m. on Jan. 19, just hours before Biden left the White House, according to emails the New York Times obtained from the National Archives.
How confident are you that President Biden was awake at 10:31 PM on January 19th to authorize the use of the autopen one last time?!
Seems clear that he likely didn’t know the specifics of each pardon or commutation, but, as reported by various sources, including the very friendly NY times, the staff would show up with a list they thought fit specific criteria and he would provide assent.
And, seems clear that he used his authority to circumvent federal criminal law, and extensive judicial processes, accomplishing something via pardons and commutations that he could not achieve through legislation, when he commuted the federal death sentences of 37 individuals with auto pen signatures.
If you think that is a fair and reasonable process for execution of presidential duties, you are clearly in the minority of Americans.
