Don’t forget to shop for the best price for your health care…oh my😱

From The Daily Signal (Media bias rating organizations consistently classify it as right-leaning or strongly conservative biased.)

“Americans grappling with affordability just got a helpful boost from the Trump administration, which on Friday announced a new push to reduce health care costs.

The move helps patients get health care prices upfront rather than astronomically high surprise bills later.

The new Transparency in Coverage (TiC) proposed rule will improve data structure, reduce unnecessary file size and increase usability. This will make transparency easier to analyze and more accessible to employers, researchers and innovators working to lower health care costs.

By receiving prices upfront in a clear, easy-to-use format, Americans can shop around for the best provider at the lowest cost—driving more competition and empowering patients.

Yup, it’s a lotta bull &#@%

Trump’s February executive order.”

The Heritage Foundation knows healthcare best.

Don’t forget, shop for the lowest price, that’s what matters most, it’s just like shopping for a car, right?

But don’t take too long with that shopping.

  1. It is worse than you think. Of course, not all providers accept all insurance. And, what they may have charged in the past may not be what they will charge in the future – especially if they renegotiated their provider agreements.

Finally, no one cares what the provider charges. The only thing that counts is what will my out of pocket be – deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and non-covered charges.

    Stupidity with a capital S.

Instead, the idiot ass Trump and his Administration should shove (and shove hard) the Department of Labor to begin work (finish work?) on the Advanced Explanation of Benefits requirement that became law five years ago but has yet to be implemented.
