I rarely agreed with Sanders over the years, too far left for me. However, Donald Trump’s behavior and actions have made Bernie sound almost reasonable.
Trump’s calling people like Bernie “radical left scum” and “doing everything possible to destroy our country,” makes it clear to me the type of person we have as president.

The problem is Trump lives in a different country within our borders. His world is not that of the rest of America. He has no clue or concern for the American people. If he can’t stick his name on it, it is of no consequence.

Historically, many U.S. presidents see changes in wealth after leaving office (often through books and speaking), but it’s unusual to see a sitting president’s reported net worth climb so sharply while in power. This has fueled debate over conflicts of interest and whether policy decisions have had financial benefits for Trump’s personal holdings.

wonder if Bernie is upset with Pelosi who has, they say, $250 million in assets much of it through trading equities–the corpse saw his wealth growth dramatically as money went through Hunter and his brother.
yes, Trump goes far beyond the moral boundary when it comes to peddling financial junk–far in excess of the corpse–disgraceful
Tim Waltz,, the clown who wanted to become VP, shows no concern for his folks in MN as evidenced by the billions in fraud he oversaw for years. Now we have Illinois where the Tribune is reporting on the fraud created by Covid “loans” to businesses.
These blue states will steal you blind all in the name of doing good and referring to critics as bigots and racists.

A personal angst, for lack of a better word, with Trump is that I believe he is, if not the worst, at least one of the three worst presidents of the U.S., according to historians. And the belief that he should be in prison for life. We will be fortunate if he doesn’t start WWIII, or worse. To use his own words, he is scum.
I rarely discuss him with my friends or family, because several of them, who I love very much, have voted for him twice and probably would a third time.
I relented a couple of days ago and forwarded a meme. An interviewer asked Trump, “Of all the lies you’ve told, which is your favorite?”
Trump: “I don’t lie.”
Interviewer: “Yeah, that’s my favorite too.”
I thought I got away with it until, two days later, my youngest sister responded: “I just figure you can be sure politicians are lying if their mouth is moving.”
I did not respond because, again, I love her dearly. But that is normalization, like saying all politicians steal, or otherwise profit from their office. Perhaps many do, but Trump is orders of magnitude worse.
It’s not the same as Hunter or Pelosi. Not even close.

Al Lindquist:
it’s not close because they profited less but what about the morals?–how do they come to the nation’s capital as middle class citizens and leave rich?–I make no excuses for any of them.
one reason you lose elections might be your inability to discuss issues with friends and family–you might be caught up in the feeling that you are right–they are wrong–nothing more needs be said-my father used to say; “there are people who think their sh– doesn’t stink, they are just better people, all you need to do is ask them.”
if you want to defend 10,000,000 breaking into the country then fine–if you believe the Russian conspiracy hoax then fine–if you believe Biden was not demented and the 25th Amendment should not have been invoked then fine–if you believe boys should compete in girl’s sports then fine–drag queens invited to 4th grade library presentations then fine–DEI programs for all?? how about the greatest threat to democracy is white supremacy as the demented one told us.
maybe your friends and relatives don’t discuss politics with you as they are embarrassed that you might fit the profile above–they might surmise ; “and he thinks we are stupid, vapid, and out of touch.”

I don’t recall seeing information reported on Presidents after one year or less in office. Financial information I am referring to. I guess Bernie didn’t see a need to report on Biden.
