“When US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem declared that a 37-year-old Minneapolis mother had been gunned down by federal officials because she was committing “an act of domestic terrorism,” she was not making a factual claim. She was seeking a megalomaniac’s approval.
Her boss, US President Donald Trump, soon rewarded her zeal, posting on Truth Social that the victim “violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer.” Vice President JD Vance then dutifully proclaimed that “the gaslighting is off the charts,” dismissing all criticism as lies.” source: Project Syndicate commentary.

No ICE officer was run over!
They are lying, they are lying just to please their boss. They lose their own integrity to support the most destructive leader the US has ever had.
If what Trump said about that woman doesn’t greatly disturb you, you are part of the destruction of our democracy and our society.

so, what did he say?
Quinn–I told my kids when younger that when a cop tells you to get out of the car you do it–why not explain why, when she was ordered out, she laughed, backed up, went forward, hit a federal officer who had internal bleeding. Why did she feel she was above the law when Hillary and Michelle have told us for years that; “nobody is above the law.”
do you tell your grandchildren to resist a legal order by a federal officer or cop? would you be happy with your granddaughter throwing ice bottles at federal officers enforcing laws passed by Congress? spitting on them–doxing them–trashing their personal property–threatening them.
did she deserve to die? NO, not in my opinion–but like Ashlee Babbitt she put herself in harms way.
she parked her car perpendicular on the road for 4 minutes–had been following agents much of the day no doubt convinced by the lefties that the media and the mob were all part of the “game” they were playing and she was immune from any real harm.
the loons on the left allowed the invasion of the country–then refuse to turn over convicted aliens from the jail cells for deportation–and of course blame the federal agents for obeying the law written by Congress.
Obama bragged about deporting 6 million–why was that no big deal? why did cities and states hand over convicted aliens for deportation? nothing to do with politics, right!!! Go to U-TUBE for the 2016 CNN ride along with ICE agents–they even picked up a U.S. citizen but no big deal–heroes then but gestapo now to Quinn and his buddies.
what if George Wallace and Bull Connor had declared a 600 mile swath of Alabama and Mississippi a sanctuary area and not under the auspices of the federal government? What John C. Calhoun called “nullification”, later ruled unconstitutional by the high court.
almost everything the lefties touch turns to shi- and then they expect others to clean it up–think SS–Medicare–education–social programs fraught with fraud–you name and once they get it the mess begins.
the damage done to body and property by those of you on the left is uncalculatable–the looting/burning/ killing in the “summer of love” in 2020 —assassinations of an insurance executive–Charlie Kirk–2 attempts on Trump–shooting of agents in Dallas 2 years ago–anti Semite destruction on college campuses and city streets by those aligned with Hamas–we could go on and on.
Anybody seen the Democrats supporting Palestine and Hamas marching with Iranian flags this past week in support of STUDENTS in Tehran? I guess hatred of Jews is what brings these roaches out of their lair.

I believe, the motives and political affiliation of the assassin and two attempted were never determined.
I understand the deportations under Obama were more targeted to actual criminals, and without the racist rhetoric. I don’t remember ever seeing videos of G.I. Joe squads and military vehicles in the street.
May be, a possible brushing against the legs could actually cause internal bleeding in the torso, but the agent was definitely not ‘run over’ and recovering in the hospital as Trump claimed, for some reason.
I don’t say abolish ICE, but put them back in suits and ties and pursue deportations through the courts, cut the demonizing rhetoric, and temper justice with mercy.
A man who spent most of his life in the U.S., raised three Marine Corps sons, and had difficulty with paperwork in the past, probably should be given assistance in the paperwork, not deported.
I read, at one time within the last year, Trump suggested that we may give special considerations to aliens in agriculture and some domestic operations because of potential harm to small businesses. Imagine that! Where have we heard that? (Quinn). He was apparently overruled. Makes you wonder who is in charge. And why.

under Obama the law was followed–you are a criminal alien you were handed over to ICE–no grief no hassle–you can Google Tom Holman (ICE head) who appears on TV all the time the praise from Obama for doing a great job. Yes, Holman has been with ICE forever.
What changed in 2016–Trump came–and the game changed with sanctuary cities.
ICE was never in suits and ties–they act like U.S. Marshalls for the border invaders.
Yes, he was not run over–nor, as the Mayor of Minneapolis told us, was this like a refrigerator door hitting you.
Simple question Vibrant–when asked to get out of her car why did she refuse?? Would you refuse? your wife refuse? your kids refuse? and if not why not?
She had mental health issues–first she is straight and then lesbian–acting like a fool during a riot and then causing great harm.

let me see–she was driving to the Piggly Wiggly–got lost and found herself in the midst of a riot–parked her car across the road for 4 minutes and was totally freaked out when harsh words were used to tell her to get out of the car—vulgar language she is not used was used by federal agents thus she sped off striking one officer–just what you, me, our, wives and children would do–just an innocent victim totally unaware of any riots in the city.
here are figures for 2025: 2 million have self-deported–622,000 deported–and left-wing publication ProPublica says 170 U.S. citizens detained by ICE during raids or protests.
If you arrive illegally the law says you are to leave–you do not leave you are rounded up and deported. Change the law if you do not like it.

If only. Useless to even discuss the law Trump had sidelined to improve his odds of winning in 24.
“If you arrive illegally the law says you are to leave___”
That is called cutting off your nose to spite your face. …IF immigration, even illegal immigration, is a net benefit to your country, as many believe. Many like Trump, who we know employed illegals in his clubs before, and possibly after being president. “I don’t know, I don’t manage the clubs now.”
And while President, even if only for venal reasons…
“Trump earlier in the month acknowledged concerns among the agriculture and hospitality industries that his administration’s immigration enforcement was taking away workers key to those businesses.”
Priorities. At what cost did they double the size of ICE? Financially and socially. More and more people disapprove of Trump’s immigration policies. Perhaps sanity will return when he is gone. Too late for Renee Good.

any other laws you think should be broken? if we benefit by folks pouring across the borders then legalize it–isn’t that the basic tenant of democracy? do you believe some folks are above the law? if so then who and why?
at one time a large % of folks thought gays should not marry or that interracial marriages were illegal in most states–we changed the law–what’s the problem?
I think immigration laws need an overhaul but does that justify an invasion of 10,000,000? not in my world! didn’t you teach the kids and grandkids to obey the rules? who decides what laws and rules to violate? you??? me???
the legislation (not law) Trump sidelined? all you are telling us is that the corpse in January of 2021 could have issued the same executive order but did not until he realized in 2024 he was going to lose the election–all politics and Trump also played the game.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. The 34 count (and counting) felon, perhaps? His ‘defense’ in this and other matters (crimes) was not “I didn’t do it!”, but that “everybody else does it.”.
Now, that 10,000,000 (or more). What are they doing? We know most of them are NOT violent criminals, rapists, murderers, thieves, etc. If some are, throw them in prison where they belong. Don’t deport them so they can come back in.
Social Security Solvency
The U.S. population is aging rapidly. As the large Baby Boomer cohort retires, the ratio of active workers paying into Social Security to retirees drawing benefits is shrinking.
Immigrant Contribution: Immigrants are generally younger than the native-born population. They enter the workforce at high rates and pay payroll taxes for decades before claiming benefits. The American Academy of Actuaries confirmed in 2025 that immigrants “favorably affect the financial condition of Social Security.”
The integration of immigrants is not an act of charity but an investment in the nation’s future solvency. From the fields of California to the tech hubs of Austin, and from the revitalized neighborhoods of Dayton to the federal treasury in Washington, the immigrant contribution is woven into the very fabric of American success.

By all means, change the law, and don’t shoot yourself in the foot while doing it. In the meantime, temper justice with mercy, and common sense.

“I don’t back away,” he said. “What I do have, I cherish our farmers. And when we go into a farm and we take away people that have been working there for 15 and 20 years, who were good, who possibly came in incorrectly. And what we’re going to do is we’re going to do something for farmers where we can let the farmer sort of be in charge. The farmer knows he’s not going to hire a murderer.”
Trump earlier in the month acknowledged concerns among the agriculture and hospitality industries that his administration’s immigration enforcement was taking away workers key to those businesses.
His acknowledgment led to a pause in enforcement at farms, hotels and other locations, but days later, the administration seemed to reverse course.
