Trump’s Failure of personality

Before you read the following quoted article, let’s really think about what is happening.

Have you ever wondered what would motivate Trump to take over the Kennedy Center and then have the chutzpah to rename it in his image?

Yes, this action is only modestly significant compared to what else he has done, but it tells us about the warped personality of the person we put in charge of our future.

What kind of person does things like this? Dictators come to mind. Insecure egomaniacs and narcissists are strong possibilities. Whichever it is, it also says such a person does not make decisions for other’s benefit, but for their own benefit. That is something to seriously think about‼️.

I assume just watching and listening to Trump in action, would clearly demonstrate his immense deficiencies. How he uses and abuses people. How he continually uses FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real) to manipulate people. But alas he still has support🥵

So my ultimate question is, what personality is willing to accept and support the Trump personality? Are they the same type of person?

And then there is this.

Maybe you think this video is funny, especially because it was posted on his own social media by the President of the United States of America, that once great country that has sold it soul to a racist bully.

Your president displaying his integrity once again.

Never accepting responsibility is a pattern for Trump, always a spurious excuse and never admitting he was wrong. Never displaying any dignity – that’s our President.

On Friday night, Trump told reporters that he watched the beginning of the video before deciding to post it on his Truth Social page, but didn’t see the portion that featured Obama. He said he wouldn’t apologize for the post.

I didn’t make a mistake. I look at thousands of things. I looked at the beginning. It was fine,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One, saying that he passed the video on to a staffer to post.

Asked if he condemned the racist imagery in the video, Trump said, “Of course I do.”

There you have it, our future in the hands of a person who posts to social media without taking the time to know what he is posting. Quite similar to pardoning a drug dealer without knowing who he pardoned. This is the President of the United States for Pete’s sake‼️

Recent Trump poll results.

For example (aggregated from several January trackers):

  • Economist/YouGov: ~38% approve / 56% disapprove
  • New York Times: ~41% approve / 56% disapprove
  • Reuters/Ipsos: ~38% approve / 59% disapprove
  • Civiqs & others: ~39% approve / 56% disapprove
  • Morning Consult: modestly better but still below 50% approval in some weeks.

His only “negotiating” success is through bullying and coercion while ignoring that negotiating for long-term success only comes from mutual benefits, not one winner and the other a loser.

Donald Trump’s shock-and-awe approach to politics has often been compared to authoritarian and fascist leaders who have consolidated power through grand political spectacles. But these accounts conflate shock with genuine spectacle, which Trump is incapable of producing.

MAGA poster on the floor.

WASHINGTON, DC – US President Donald Trump has just announced that the Kennedy Center, Washington’s premier performing arts venue, will close for two years, starting July 4, 2026 – the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Although Trump says the hall is closing for reconstruction, everyone knows the real reason: since Trump took over the center and redubbed it the Trump Kennedy Center, attendance has plummeted, and numerous artists have cut ties with the institution, including the opera singer Renee Fleming and the team staging performances of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hit musical Hamilton. With the composer Philip Glass having already canceled the premiere of his Abraham Lincoln symphony, an event that was supposed to coincide with the anniversary celebrations, the closure merely formalizes what has already happened.

Trump’s approach to politics has often been compared to authoritarian and even fascist leaders who depend on grand political spectacles to project power.

But these accounts conflate shock with spectacle. As thinkers from Hannah Arendt to Michel Foucault have understood, political spectacles can shore up political legitimacy and instill a sense of obligation among citizens, and theater and art are especially well-suited to produce such outcomes.

Hence, Hitler co-opted opera, mythologizing the 19th-century composer Richard Wagner, including his flagrant antisemitism, to fit his own vision of an Aryan nation.

His cultural envoy, Joseph Goebbels, kept a tight grip on Deutsche Oper and Berlin Staatsoper, arranging for the conductors Karl Böhm and Wilhelm Furtwängler, as well as the famous soprano Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, to perform for the Nazis

one reason you clowns lost the election is you felt you were better than the rest of us; “you mean the border is closed and I see the millions invading us”–and “you are a racist bigot when you complain” –now it is obvious why the Dems hired a consultant firm for millions to teach the lefty loons how to talk to regular folks?

what’s wrong you say, I say “what’s wrong with you?” –the reason the Dems hired a consultant for millions is to stop the loons from going around telling us men can have babies–that birth certificates at the hospitals read; “boy”–“girl”–“TBD (to be decided) is stupid–defund the cops and now ICE–

vibrant is living on stolen land–give it back big boy!

I love the poll–only lower are the Democrat Party and probably Congress. Vibrant you should be happy at your family which is half and half as lefties are big on diversity–your family is doing its part.

yes, I agree with most of the adjectives used to describe Trump but consider the opposition: Crazy Bernie–Jasmine Crockett–Pocahontas–Gavin of CA–Kamala. Talk about crazies???

should he have apologized for the vile racist troupe? even if an aide sent it (fire him/her now) and the buck stops with him–APOLOGY and now!

    1. “Define woman.”

“After Janet was born, it was difficult to tell if she was a boy or a girl. “When my grandfather learned there was a question of my sex, it was suggested by him that they just let me die,” she says.

Now in her 50s and a mother of two, she was born with a womb, ovaries and female genes but her genitals and hormones were partly masculine. She was diagnosed with congenital adrenal hyperplasia, a DSD where her body makes too much testosterone.”

It’s A small percentage, but thousands of babies are born every year with indeterminate sex. Let them die? …………….

Worse, maybe? Some don’t even know they are indeterminate until later, sometimes at puberty…

“Some DSDs are not obvious at birth because they affect the internal organs and can go undiagnosed for years. Katie has androgen insensitivity syndrome, which was only discovered when she had a hernia operation when she was six. “I look female on the outside, I have a normal female body but instead of having XX chromosomes like a typical female I have XY chromosomes like a typical male.”

What the hey, let her(him) die?

      https://www.bbc.com/news/health-14459843 ……………………

The loons on the left have never proposed anything as asinine as taking over Greenland.

      Militarily? “We’ll see.

” Because “we need it for our security”. Is that what Putin said about Ukraine? Or using U.S. cities as ‘training grounds for the military’. I would vote for AOC in a heartbeat.

My family, FWIW, is not half and half. More like 80/20. And my first wife, now deceased, was Oglala Lakota (Sioux, Pine Ridge, South Dakota) I inherited her portion of land. Should Trump apologize? He has much worse to apologize for than a video. Start with the murder of Ashli Babbitt. Trump is insane.

  2. For starters…

“You can feel it in the way the question is usually asked — not with curiosity, but with disbelief.”

“Because to really understand the psychology of Trump supporters, you have to let go of the cartoon version of them.

You have to stop asking what’s wrong with them and start asking — what need is being met?”

    1. Good point. I have been looking into that and trying to understand. I can see the issues of immigrants, taxes, even perceptions of welfare, anti-establishment, but I cannot see any reason to accept the Trump personality and behavior. If they understood where he is going, they would not be so accepting.

Definitely not the same type of person. Half my family supports Trump. Mostly the religious ones, FWIW.
