An ongoing strategy. Create a fake problem and then bully, even illegally claim to solve it.
Despite his TruthSocial post and claims, the president does not have the constitutional authority to unilaterally require voter ID for all voters.
Under the U.S. Constitution (Article I, Section 4), the power to regulate the “Times, Places and Manner” of elections belongs to state legislatures, with Congress having the power to “make or alter such Regulations.” The president is not granted a direct role in this process.
Will nothing convince the MAGA cult what they have created and how they are putting our Republic at risk?

Will no member of Congress stand up for our Constitution?
These words, these lies border on treason implying ignoring the Constitution.

“Insisting on Citizenship.” The law requires citizenship and always has. This is a perfect example of his propaganda tactics.

This is TDS by Quinn –you think reasonable people could agree on certain issues–now an executive order I have issues with as the legislature (s) should be doing this and it is overwhelming in favor as so many Americans support it.
Quinn doesn’t remember the Georgia legislature passing such a law–being called Jim Crow 2.0–major league baseball pulling the All Star game from Atlanta–the first time the new voting law went into effect it was a record turnout of voters and a record for black Americans.
Vibrant, you make my point, minorities have no issues with ID’s for anything–my wife volunteers at a Jesuit food kitchen and you don’t get a tomato without showing an ID.
Mass confusion says Quinn? Are you kidding? Another red herring by the left to ensure they can cheat otherwise why oppose it? Remember, Quinn and his friends think men can have babies and defund the cops and now that they are out of the closet as socialists why are we surprised they oppose the common sense ID’s for voters?
Why not have Quinn list some areas where he thinks current ID’s are not warranted. I bet nobody gets into his senior complex without an ID.

“Quinn and his friends think men can have babies…”
Never heard/read Quinn suggest that. Although some of his readers (at least one) say that is a false dichotomy.
“A child that is born neither male or female is a rare occurrence but babies born with some form of Disorder of Sex Development (DSD) happens in one in every 1,500 births, according to the support group Accord Alliance.”

‘one in every 1,500’ is very rare, but there are over 10,000 births every day in the U.S. do the math

next time you read about a guy who gives birth tell us–that’s how elections are lost–silly, foolish, ideas proliferate within one political party and in ’24 the price was paid

“After Janet was born, it was difficult to tell if she was a boy or a girl. “When my grandfather learned there was a question of my sex, it was suggested by him that they just let me die,” she says. Now in her 50s and a mother of two, she was born with a womb, ovaries and female genes but her genitals and hormones were partly masculine. She was diagnosed with congenital adrenal hyperplasia, a DSD where her body makes too much testosterone.”

“Katie has androgen insensitivity syndrome, which was only discovered when she had a hernia operation when she was six. “I look female on the outside, I have a normal female body but instead of having XX chromosomes like a typical female I have XY chromosomes like a typical male.”

My daughter was telling me she had no problem with gays, but didn’t agree with ‘trans’. A man is a man, A woman is a woman. Period.
I suggested a web search of ‘indeterminate sex’. She called back later and said thank you.
What you gonna do?… “When my grandfather learned there was a question of my sex, it was suggested by him that they just let me die,”

well, of course–aren’t you following the bill in Congress which would mandate voter ID in federal elections–have been visiting a friend in the hospital for a week or more and I need ID to get in every day-
-can’t get food stamps or SNAP benefits without ID–it’s an 80-20 issue with our lefty friends fighting against it–they say minorities are not smart enough to get an ID–unless for SNAP benefits.

“The most recently published U.S. Agriculture Department data shows that as of 2023, the largest group of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipients by race was white (35.4%), followed by African American (25.7%), Hispanic (15.6%), Asian (3.9%), Native American (1.3%).”
Picture ID for minorities is really not very effective, since they all look alike anyway, right?

so what is your point?? listen or read the debate points-according to some folks we are going back to Jim Crow if folks have to show voter ID–
if you are opposed then tell us–give us your reasons–you need an ID for just about everything–I can’t buy certain (maybe all) cough medicine without showing ID at the Piggly Wiggly
Of course cheating might be reduced but folks might be opposed to that.
So you think all minorities look alike? YIKES!! you lefties really do live in the past.

It is totally unnecessary. It’s another Trump red herring. It will cause mass confusion and voting delays and in some lower income and minority communities will inhibit voting. Just think of the logistics.
The very idea there is mass or significant voter fraud or that what exists can affect an election is a farce created by Trump. The last significant voter fraud ended at the end of the 19th century.
He is afraid Republicans will lose control in November and he is building his excuse now. Just as he claims that Democrats win by cheating.
AND, under the Constitution it takes action by Congress, the president, even Trump can’t do it on their own.

so what other ID’s would you eliminate? if you can do it for SNAP it can be done for voting as we all know, but if millions of unvetted can cross the border am I surprised you oppose ID’s for voters?

You believe that Democrats allowed millions of illegal immigrants to cross our border so they can vote and Democrats can steal elections? That’s what Trump says.
You believe illegal immigrants will come forward just to vote? You believe it possible for illegal immigrants to affect the outcome of national elections?
This made up problem is a non-issue except in Trump’s mind. Did you ever hear of it before Trump lost in 2020? Why wasn’t it an issue when Trump won twice? Maybe illegals voted for him 😎. You are being manipulated.

point me to the presidential speech (2001-20024) where he explains why our border is being violated by the millions?–“the border is closed”
of course you add to the population for purposes of congressional representation–during the 2020 Democratic primary when asked if illegals should be eligible for free health care every hand went up–people pouring in and crazy thinking like that. “I want the Hispanic vote” was what they were saying. It’s all about power!!
Illegal immigrants vote in many local elections–what makes you think they won’t someday be allowed to vote in national elections? Why do you think only a few border state Democrats had issues with illegal border crossings?
What would stop AOC from issuing an executive order allowing illegals to vote? You tell us they pay taxes and add so very much to the economy so why deny them the right to vote?
The left allows unvetted millions to cross over and they do it for humanitarian reasons only? I’m laughing!!
Manipulation–remember the demented one had you and yours telling us he was fit as a fiddle until the 1st debate in June and then you all changed your tune. Now why was that? Think of all the others lies you believed.

Sarcasm Al, right?
In response to the cliché of minorities on welfare.*
Generally, I agree with Richard that voter ID is just unnecessary, and will result in effectively disenfranchising many voters. I have voted by mail for several years now, mainly due to disability.
I don’t agree that the ‘farce’ was created by Trump, but he sure took advantage of it. I was surprised that 83% approve of ID laws, 97%+/- Republicans and more than half of Democrats. Don’t know how recent this approval rate is, but apparently it did begin in the 50s, and predominantly in red states, FWIW.
*Most SNAP recipients are white, but… a larger -percentage- of blacks are recipients. A story for another day.
