Form 278T Corruption central

The 278T form is used for purchases, sales, or exchanges of securities over $1,000 involving the filer, spouse, or dependent child. It does not require a negative filing if there were no reportable transactions.

Recent filings

• On May 8, 2026, Trump signed two OGE Form 278‑T filings, which were submitted on May 12 and certified by the Office of Government Ethics on May 13, 2026. (Late by the way and he was fined)

• These two reports together disclosed 3,711 securities transactions (over 3,600 of them stock trades) between early January and late March 2026, covering hundreds of equities, ETFs, and bonds.

Many of the trades involved companies with or seeking government contracts or seeking government policies under Trumps control or influence favoring their business.

For example, Trump has reported owning Nvidia stock in recent financial disclosures, with one 2026 report saying he bought between $500,000 and $1 million in Nvidia on Jan. 6 and another $1 million to $5 million on Feb. 10. Even though they were purchased for him by a third party, he has no business investing in companies when he can directly influence their business.

Among others, Trump took Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia to China with him which would be fine if Trump did not have a personal vested interest in its business success.
