There are too many people who envy those with a pot of gold and ignore the long, often bumpy road to reach it.
A road that is open to the great majority of people who want to take it and pay the tolls along the way.
Pot of gold
We can’t control what others do and we can’t stop misfortune from striking. But we can control our own actions. Those who are financially prudent will most likely enjoy success, even if events don’t always go their way.

I don’t buy it. There may be a few very determined or lucky persons who ‘make it’, but the odds are what they are. I’ve mentioned my father, who raised nine kids and retired in consumer debt on SS only. I also have a ninety-plus sister who is rumored to have several million in land and investments. (Farming) But the great majority are stuck on bottom.
