Don’t be mislead by false self-serving political rhetoric, especially from a demagogue.

Socialism is not providing, through universal taxation, programs and services needed, even occasionally, by all or some members of a society.

Individuals ranting about socialism in American are uniformed dolts easily manipulated by Trump’s self-serving propaganda.

There is not one socialist country in the world, not even the Scandinavian countries with their strong social support systems.

This is a society helping those in need
This is a community working together to help a fellow member
This is a society sharing the risk and benefits leaving no one behind
This is a society isolated from each other, each on their own, each presumed to be empowered not to need their community or society

Do you envision a society with lower taxes and where each individual takes care of themselves for the full cost of healthcare, in the event of unemployment, disability, housing, food, child care, education including college, retirement regardless of income level, education or where they live?

Is this the society you want?

  1. there is a big difference between car insurance and health insurance, and disability insurance and unemployment insurance. America worked just fine before health reform introduced expanded Medicaid and stupid state mandated on health insurance.

    yes, some things can and should only be dealt with as a society – catastrophes. But, that’s not what the democratic socialists want. They want cradle to grave, womb to tomb insulation from costs using other people’s money.

    this version also wants to eliminate the presidency, senate, Supreme Court, police, ICE , borders etc.

    you are correct this isn’t Democratic socialism a la Scandinavia, more reminiscent of Mao’s China and Stalin’s Soviet Union.

    The idiot ass Trump has it right, more like communism than socialism.

    Consider Venezuelan where that brand of socialism led to an average of more than 15 pounds of weight loss among adults
