Donald Trump, our resident demagogue and malignant narcissist had several criminal defense attorneys across his various high-profile cases, but his lead personal defense lawyer for his major criminal trials—including the New York hush-money case and federal indictments—was Todd Blanche and now he is Attorney General of the United States.
If that does not concern you, if you don’t see corruption and yet another power grab over our government, you are very naive.

Of course I’m concerned, but in other news of the day, djt isn’t getting his way like he’s been used to: J. Pirro has refused to pursue a meritless case against a supposed vandal responsible for the reflecting pool disaster, a Republican senator has rebuked djt for signing a dangerous executive order about vaccines and djt is mad at Hegseth for supposedly misleading him about the state of our munitions supply and, worse yet, allowed what should be information available only to those with high level security clearances to be worldwide news. This is what happens when you hire people for their looks, financial contributions and supposed loyalty and fire the people with experience and knowledge. What a disaster, and just like potentates the world over and throughout history, everyone is afraid to tell the emperor the truth. Where is the honest court jester in this kingdom who can speak the truth with some hope of impunity?
