We can’t control what others do and we can’t stop misfortune from striking. But we can control our own actions. Those who are financially prudent will most likely enjoy success, even if events don’t always go their way.

According to our President, tariffs are more important that affordability (a new word for the president; along with “Groceries” ) I am convinced he paid someone else to take economic courses for him when he was in school. I LOVED YOUR CARTOON!! Smith Smallwood

Well, despite the pain likely incurred on both sides of our northern border and much further, I admire Mark Carney for walking away from the “deal.” I’m not a sophisticated observer, but I am a native New Yorker. We know what a lying cheat is the person who became famous by saying “You’re fired.” While I wasn’t in the room yesterday, I believe Carney that there was a last-minute bait and switch introduced. Not only did the Canadians notice, they weren’t having it. I find little to believe in statements emanating from the US side, sadly. Doesn’t mean that I am ashamed of my country, it just means that I think we fairly elected someone who didn’t deserve the honor of serving as our chief executive. Let’s try to focus on the good that is done everyday by us lesser mortals, with our time, our talents and our treasure.

100% agree. More world leaders and national leaders need to stand up before it is too late, if not all ready.

We can only hope ( and pray, if you believe in prayer, which I do) that others will follow Carney’s example, most importantly those who are “in the room.”

Too many people still think that the other country pays the tariffs. The fact that American companies and most American consumers pay the tariff is beyond some people who claim “fake news”.
