No surprise. This president is appointing loyal sycophants, even a author of Project 2025, to inspector general offices which is supposed to be a non-political government oversight role.

Trump has consistently described the “deep state” as a network of entrenched, unelected officials and institutions—especially within the federal bureaucracy, intelligence agencies, and law enforcement—that he says act politically and can undermine elected leaders.
Some notable statements:
- In June 2023, he said: “I will totally obliterate the deep state,” adding that it was “far more vicious than anybody understands.”
- In his 2023 Agenda47 plan, Trump said: “I will shatter the Deep State, and restore government that is controlled by the People.” His proposed measures included making it easier to remove “rogue bureaucrats,” restructuring intelligence agencies, investigating alleged abuses, and moving parts of the federal bureaucracy outside Washington.
- In an October 2022 Truth Social post, he said the Trump administration had exposed “Deep State” corruption and called it a “Cancer” that he said was damaging the country.
- During the 2024 campaign, he repeatedly promised to “demolish” or “obliterate” the deep state.
- More recently, his White House has continued using the term to describe officials whom it alleges withheld or suppressed intelligence and information from Trump and the public.
Now Trump is putting loyalists into the important role of inspectors general. Why do you think that is?

You are spot on in your commentary. I do think it is too late, unfortunately. It is sad to me that the right still believes DJT is doing good. This administration and the likes of Steven Miller, Howard Lutnick and the rest of the Project 2025 collabators are so entrenched that I fear the elections will be a source of division as they will contest every outcome in the courts and then use military force to keep their power hence their obsession with ‘cleaning’ the military. I do fear it is all too late as even if things go to the Supreme court he has been able to have his right wing court endorse most of his actions already so I don’t hold out much hope for them to do the right thing either. Hence we are doomed. Vote DEMOCRAT down the line even if you don’t like the candidate because we need to keep this country free and open for all men not just the privileged few.
