  1. Today, no, of course not. After having paid excessive income, FICA, FICA-Med, State and other taxes for 55+ years, I’m now partially dependent on Social Security and Medicare.

    Only if they had never been enacted – Medicare, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credit, SNAP, worker’s compensation, unemployment compensation, etc.

    Had they never been enacted, everything else being equal, my net income would have been at least 25+% higher over the past 55 years, and my accumulated wealth today would be three times, 300% of what it is today.
