It’s no secret that too many Americans live above their means and that many have no or inadequate emergency savings, are saving too little for retirement and are woefully uninsured or underinsured for many of the vicissitudes of life.
We have a strange definition of necessities and prize the accumulation of stuff. Our inability to plan and prepare for the future is not based on income, but attitude.
The question is, will our current unprecedented health and economic crisis be a wake up call?
