The 2021 Social Security and Medicare Trustees’ annual reports are 138 days late and counting.
We don’t know the current status of the program trusts.
And yet, before knowing the trust’s status politicians are pounding the airwaves with their new spending programs saying they are trying to helping working Americans.
Most Americans just lap up the rhetoric for new spending caring nothing about our growing deficits and debt, or the failure of Congress to make Social Security and Medicare sustainable.
QUINNSCOMMENTARY 
Here is my take. The report goes against the democrat narrative and they are not allowed to release it until after November. Or, because of Covid and the forced unemployment, even the trustees can’t believe how bad things turned in a year.
I am sorry. I don’t trust either party but the current administrations competency is highly questionable and gets worse every day.
