Just lap it up

Take a look at this Tweet. It parrots what Sen Sanders endlessly repeats.

But not true and very misleading. Never mind, people want to believe what makes them feel victims and politicians are more than willing to help.

The median annual wage for chief executives was $185,950 in May 2020. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $62,780, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $208,000.

What politicians spout off about is the total compensation of some of America’s largest companies – where most Americans don’t work.

Since most of their compensation is stock awards of some type, shareholders are footing the bill.

The fact is CEO pay has no impact on workers. Don’t believe me, try this. Take the CEO compensation of a S&P 500 company – I used Verizon as an example. Divide it by the number of workers and see the impact on each worker if the CEOs pay was given to them.

  1. The percent of employee pay to ceo pay has been discussed for years and I don’t pay attention to the numbers because they vary by company size, average employee compensation and so forth. In large corporations the figure is as much or more than Drunken Nomad thinks it is. But it is what it is.

The big issue is that so many leftists think that this is a reason that capitalism is evil. They are being taught this by leftist faculties in colleges. The faculty has no concept of profit and loss but they think they are qualified to condemn private enterprise. Bernie Sanders is one of these leftists although his very good standard of living is provided by a capitalist system. People need to wake up before we are completely overwhelmed by this socialist communist nonsense.

  2. Numbers for the average worker most likely do not include the employer paid portion of their medical benefits. Early in my career that hidden compensation was a large percentage of my total compensation.

  3. Fun Fact. In 2019 Senator Sanders was paid 145 times more than his interns. So who cares?
Until 2019 most interns had to worked for free in Washington until Congress decided that they better start paying them because only rich kids could work in D.C. for free.
