and more people realize it everyday.

It’s hard to admit you made a mistake when you put your faith in a person who promised he could fix everything, address your concerns and fears, right the wrongs you perceive.
But the reality is he lied to you, created scapegoats to blame, claimed he fixed problems that were never real, but did create very real new problems while ignoring issues very important to you.
All you have to do is look and listen.

Mr Trumps personality from childhood doesn’t allow him to behave otherwise. As he has said himself, winning is all that matters, being number one, being in control, having the power, being praised is all that matters to him…certainly not you or me.
He can’t even act with dignity and decorum, integrity or decency. He bullies and belittles. He lies compulsively.
You see it everyday and you still accept it from the President of the United States, but you wouldn’t accept such behavior from a friend or relative or probably your boss.
You are a victim for sure, but not why you may believe. You are a victim of a successful propaganda campaign not unlike the people of Europe in the 1930s who thought fascism would solve their problems and deal with a different scapegoat.

Different in the extreme for sure, but similar in concept. Scapegoats, propaganda, the consolidation of power while dismantling the status quo. 😢
FASCISM: a far-right, authoritarian political ideology characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and the strict regimentation of society and the economy. Originating in early 20th-century Europe—most notably under Benito Mussolini in Italy and Adolf Hitler in Germany—it centers on extreme nationalism and the belief that the nation or race must undergo a collective rebirth.

You’ve said it well today, Dick, about the people who elected Trump being hoodwinked, especially your comment about his personality since childhood. Nevertheless, as a person of faith, I pray daily for a miracle, such that he will find some compassion for those less fortunate than himself, and that he will choose to stop wasting his time with seeking revenge on those he thinks have wronged him. Benefit Jack makes some points that I agree with, but a lot of Trump’s seemingly endless energy is wasted on building his “legacy” rather than building relationships with our actual allies instead of with those who actively seek to harm us. And I know many of our allies have taken advantage of us, but not with the intent to harm us, imho. It all makes me sick.

If you look at his history, observe his behavior his words and actions are explained and part of that explanation is that such a person is dangerous to a society. There are endless examples in history, but that didn’t stop Americans from falling for the propaganda that one man could resolve their grievances and make things all better just like an ice cream cone could make a skinned knee all better as a child.

I know. 🙁. Remember, I’m from Queens. Lotta people had his number years ago. My sister is still there and knows people who refused to work with or for him because of his reputation for welching on contracts. Never used union workers- too much money and too many rules for him.

Personally, I came to the hoodwinked conclusion about a year into his first term. I thought he might hire smart people to help run the country and the administration turned into a revolving door of his cronies. For some reason, I could not vote for Hillary Clinton, which I regret to this day. Anyway, I hope others out there will come to a sensible conclusion on Congressional acceptance to this behavior and vote to put a stop to it. Thank you Mr. Quinn for this forum and your daily words of advice.

“You see it everyday and you still accept it from the President of the United States.”
I didn’t vote for Obama, Trump, Biden or Trump. But, according to our laws and constitution, many Americans did and I am required, as a law abiding American, to accept that.
Boorish, bullying behavior is not an impeachable offense. You need high crimes and misdemeanors. I haven’t seen those, please supply me the list, or stop!
In terms of ability to do the job, I haven’t seen anything that says the idiot ass Trump is incapable of doing the job. Just as important, I didn’t see any post in your blog that called, consistenly and repeatedly, over and over and over, for removing President Biden who was, without a doubt, unable to perform the duties of his position – perhaps before his first day on the job and certainly by the time he decided to stop his reelection campaign.
Please show me all the blog posts, or at least show me why Trump is incapable of performing the job, or stop! STOP!
Comparing the idiot ass Trump to Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Mussolini (and is that supposed to be Gadaffi or Arafat or someone else?) was, is and continues to be a joke. A joke on you for the attempted comparison.
How many political prisoners are there in America?
How many Americans of a racial or ethnic or religious organization have been put to death?
How many Americans have been sent to work camps?
Do I agree with the actions the idiot ass Trump has taken? No, lots to disagree with. But, I haven’t had a president I agree with the majority of the time since Bush 1, and, once he started to triangulate to win reelection, Clinton.
These depictions of individuals in criticism of the idiot ass Trump as a Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Mussolini wannabe make YOU look foolish, and as cartoonish as the picture you depict.

You apparently chose to skip what a wrote regarding the comparison.

Is that not a valid comparison? Is Trump not manipulating the Justice Department into politics, trying to control the press, skirting or breaking the law, plastering his image everywhere, using scapegoats. Does he not promote nationalism? No comparison with 1930s, none? You have to be kidding.

Is that not a valid comparison? No. Trump couldn’t hold a candle to those murderers.
Tell me, who died due to the idiot ass Trump? Tell me, which political opponents were imprisoned?
To paraphrase Mark Twain: “The difference between the almost right comparison and the right comparison is really a large matter—’tis the difference between the lightning-bug and the lightning.”
A valid political comparison might be McCarthy.
If you are looking for criminal politicians, sexual abusers, fraudsters, abusers of their office, etc. here are a few:
Dennis Hastert
Duke Cunningham
Gerry Studds
Dan Crane
John Mitchell
H. R. Haldeman
.John Ehrlichman
.John Dean
Spiro Agnew
Steve Bannon
George Santos
James Traficant Jr
Bob Ney
Chaka Fattah
Michael Grimm
The comparisons you offer make YOU look foolish, and as cartoonish as the picture you depict.
