Not every situation facing Americans is a crisis, not child care, not education loans. They are part of life, they are based on decisions individuals have made. If society believes such things are collective obligations, society should accept the taxes required to fully pay for and sustain government liability for each individual’s life choices.
Don’t you think?

Why should I pay more taxes for crap that is not appropriate for federal action – ain’t in the Constitution, so not part of authorized, limited powers. The only way this works is when Congress says someone else should/will pay, especially when it is people too young to vote or generations yet unborn. Congress learned from Wimpie, “I’ll gladly have future generations pay for new entitlements and your vote today.”
